About these codes
Samsung washers show information codes to help you understand what is occurring with the washer. Samsung's manuals list a meaning and actions for each code.
5C means the washer is not draining, 4C means water is not being supplied, and Ur (top-load) appears when the additional rinse senses an unbalanced tub. Front-load and top-load steps differ, and each page marks which applies.
Safety: Electrical appliance. Samsung: "Before cleaning or performing maintenance, unplug the appliance from the wall socket." "Do not attempt to repair, disassemble, or modify the appliance yourself." (Front-load manual pp.9, 13; top-load manual pp.9, 12.)
Samsung says that if any information code keeps appearing on the screen, contact a local Samsung service center.
